Overview

Mya had an innate way of caring for others, despite her cancer battles. She strived to bestow kindness upon others, so that they may have a lighter load or perhaps a smile, when down. This shared community space, inclusive of pond, is our way of ensuring her kindness towards others is paid forward perpetually, in her honor. TMLTF is please to share our creation of an open space that others may enjoy, where families can connect and perhaps even start a family tradition of fishing, like Mya and Michael did so often with their Pop Pop and cousins. We are capitalizing on the natural essence of The Joe Palaia Park, with landscaping and a variety of aquatic plants and animals (i.e. bass fish).  Mya’s Corner is intended to be all inclusive and enable community members to contribute their thoughts and memories and honor others as well, through optional engraved pavers and benches.

​Community Partnerships:  the mya lin terry foundation is pleased to offer several partnering opportunities on this project.  this is not an all-inclusive list, as we welcome all opportunities to ensure this open space project, is truly community enabled and perpetual.

Picnic Grounds	$25,000.00	Value
The Walkway	$7,500.00	In addition to the personalized pavers individually purchased, this project will ensure a complimentary walkway is constructed around the entire Pond, the Flagpole and entry to the common area.
Fountain	$5,000.00	​100% of your one-time donation will go to the construction of new fountain as part of Mya’s Pond, as well as maintenance of this fountain.
Flagpole	$2,500.00	We have another great opportunity for you to invest in the Pond at Mya’s Corner.  Contributions are needed to continue our growth and add unique features. We have a need for sponsors of our flag poles. The cost to sponsor a flag pole is $2,500.00. If you sponsor a flag pole, you will receive a plaque with your choice of wording that can be attached to the flag pole. These cannot be for advertising purposes.
Park Bench	$1,000.00	Honor the memory of a relative or friend or recognize a birthday, wedding, anniversary, retirement or other special event.  Your tax deductible
Tree w/ plaque	$750	Celebrate a birth, say thank you for great care, commemorate someone’s life, staff - give a lasting present when a colleague retires – TMLTF is generating funds for The Pond at Mya’s Corner by enabling tree planting and honors.  Your sponsorship will cover the cost of the tree, guard, delivery charge, personalization and contribute to the maintenance of this effort, and make the most of caring for the tree that you have sponsored.
Rock Garden	$750	A restful, landscaped, rock garden at The Pond at Mya’s Corner will provide a place for community members to “leave” a personalized painted rock for others to enjoy.  Your sponsorship will enable the manicure of this collective space and ensure it is properly maintained and can accommodate what we hope will be a large collection of painted rocks by artists and non-artists alike.
Vegetable Garden	$750	TMLTF will be building raised vegetable garden beds. This portion of the project is designed to provide an edible landscape throughout Mya’s Corner while building community and educating our youth on how to grow and appreciate local food. The intention is to enable the OT Schools to maintain “their” school’s garden, with support from volunteers.
